What has been a highlight of the season for you?
LIZ: A highlight for me has definitely been our home opener. The state of hockey really showed up for us and created an unbelievable atmosphere to welcome us home. Playing in front of over 13,000 people is something I’ll never forget.
Has anything surprised you about the level of play in the PWHL or does it match up with your expectations?
LIZ: The physicality has been a game changer this season. Of course the speed and skill of this league is second to none, but adding in the physical play increases the intensity that much more.
What should Minnesota fans know about your newest teammate Sophie Jaques?
LIZ: Sophie will be a great addition to our team and community. We’re getting a strong offensive defenseman that can be trusted in any situation. I was fortunate to play with Sophie for 4 years at OSU and am very excited to welcome her to Minnesota!
Who is in charge of the aux in the locker room before games and what are your thoughts on their music selections?
LIZ We have a couple girls that rotate through aux duties, it’s usually Soph Kunin, Maggie, or Brooke. They all have pretty different music selections but I have no complaints, it’s a stressful job!
Who is the favorite to win the NCAA Women’s Hockey Tournament?
LIZ: Ohio State, of course! I would never bet against the Buckeyes.
